PINK Month @ The Ridge
PLEASE JOIN US FOR OUR FIRST SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING ON MONDAY OCTOBER 7 @ 7PM, IN THE STAFF ROOM
The students of Iroquois Ridge and the Pink Campaign Committee, in support of breast cancer awareness, will be hosting a Pink Football Day on Thursday, October 9th, wherein the students will have the opportunity to watch our junior and senior football teams battle it out with St. Thomas Aquinas, all while raising funds and awareness for breast cancer. We have had pink football games in the past, however this one will be BIG. The committee will be organizing games, prizes, and pink cupcakes among other things - a pink extravaganza. More information will follow.
Here's where you come in. We, the parent committee, would like to host a BBQ during the football games for the students and spectators, with all proceeds going to the CBCF. We are looking for a contact in the community who may have connections to provide us with the needs for the BBQ - burgers, buns, condiments, large BBQ, etc. We would REALLY appreciate it if you are able to help us out!
As well, we will be needing several volunteers to help out with this - are you available for a few hours that day? Volunteers will be needed anytime from 9am to 3pm that day, so please let us know if you're interested in coming out to flip burgers, cleanup duty, money handling, etc!! Many hands make light work, and this event will be a great day, with lots of energy, for a very important cause.
